绘本《We want to be Supermen》教学设计

Step 1 Before reading

T: Before class, we enjoyed a video about Superman. What can he do?       S: He can fly/jump high/help people/others…    Teach: help people

Q: What do you think of Superman?            Ss: Good/Cool…

T: Today we will enjoy a picture book about Superman.

Step2  While-reading

1.     Let’s ask

T: What do you want to know? 出示封面和疑问词,激发学生提问。

S: Who wants to be Superman?/ Why do they want to be Supermen?...

2.     Watch the story and answer

T: Good questions. Now let’s watch the story and find out who wants to be Superman?  

S: Vic and a little boy.         T: Yes. They want to be Supermen.

3. Read and think

T: Why does Vic want to be Superman? How can he be like Superman?

Tip: Read P4-6 quickly and find the answer.

Why?       Key words: adore, help people, biggest dream.

How?       He runs every day. He jumps over the chairs.

T: What else can he do?            Ss: He eats...  He does/plays…

T: Yes, those can make him tall and strong, then he can help others easily.

4.Guess and say

T: One day, Vic is on his way home. Oh, look at the boy. What’s the matter? A little boy slips on a banana peel and falls.         

Teach: slip, peel, fall

Guess: What will he do?                S: He will help the boy…

5.Read and find

Read P7-13 and find out what happens.

Tips: When you need help, you can ask your teacher or classmates for help, you can also guess by pictures.

6.Make a short play   2人一组编短剧

V: Not at all./That’s OK. I’m Superman! I like helping people.  …

L: I adore you! I want to be Superman too!  …

7.Read and find: What do they do then?

a. Read and act P4-13.            b. Read and act P15-21.           c. Retell P4-13 or P15-21.        d. Make a new story about Vic and  the little boy: One day, Vic and the little boy…     

2.Retell the story
