一、教学目标：
1. 知识目标：
(1) 能初步感知并理解故事，能够体会故事中主要人物的不同情感，用不同的语气朗读并表演故事。
(2) 能够简单地听、说、读单词及词组：sign, smell, at a shopping centre, be careful, mean, floor, in a restaurant
(3) 能听懂、会说、会读：What does it mean? It means ……./ No eating or drinking./ No littering./ No smoking./ Wet floor. You can / can’t…
2. 技能目标：
(1) 能借助提示，完整地复述本课对话。
(2) 通过本课时的学习，让学生能够看懂一些常见的公共标识，并能用英语进行询问极其描述。
3. 情感目标：
(1) 根据标志的意思，能够介绍、询问、给人以忠告和建议。
(2) 通过学习公共标志常识，加强社会公德教育，提高学生自身的文明素养。

Step 1. Warming up
1. Enjoy a poem: Let’s follow the rules.
2. Show the class rules:
Don’t eat in class.
Don’t drink in class.
Don’t make noise in class.
Teach:sign Show the title: Unit 5 Signs
3. Talk: Where can you see signs in our life?
Step 2. Presentation
1. T: Look, what’s this? （课件呈现购物中心的图片）
Teach: shopping centre
2. T: What do you know about the shopping centre? Say something about the shopping centre.
3. T: Look, Mike,Helen and Tim are at the shopping centre. What shops do they go? Listen and find out the answer.（依次呈现juice shop, bookshop, restaurant）
Teach: restaurant
4. T: What do they see? Yes,there are some signs. Do you know them?（呈现四个标志）
Ss: Look, write and read: Wet floor. / No smoking. / No eating or drinking. / No littering.
5. T: What do the signs mean? Read the text and underline the answer.
Ss ask answer in pairs:
-What does it mean?
-It means…
(同桌操练四个标志，反馈。)
6. Read the story.
(1) Talk: How to read?
(2) Listen and repeat.
(3) Read it together.
(4) Read in roles and try to act.
Step 3. Consolidation.
1. Helen comes back home in the afternoon.Now, she is chatting with her friends on the Wechat. Can you help her?
Fill in the blanks according to the text.
2. Show some signs in our daily life: Please follow the rules,try to be a good citizen!
Step 4. Homework
