1. Sing a song<What are you doing?> Ss sing with PPT and do actions.
2. Review “What is/are…doing? He/She/It/They’re…”
通过各种有趣的动态图片,让学生运用现在进行时来练说。
T: What are we doing now, boys and girls?
Ss: We are having an English lesson.
T: Yes, and what are they doing? Let’s watch and say.
3. Play a game : Look and guess
学生用“Are you…ing ? Yes, I am./ No, I’m not.” 的句型来试着问答。
Ss: Are you …? T: Yes , I am / No , I’m not .
Step 3 while-reading
1. Teach: bread, soup, potato, tomato, yummy, love.
通过刚才的猜测游戏引出新单词,由potato soup, tomato soup引出yummy, love.
2. Story time
T: Look at the yummy soup, I’m hungry. Liu Tao is hungry, too. Look, what time is it now? Ss: It’s six o’clock.
T: Yes, it’s six o’clock in the evening. Liu Tao comes home from a football game. (Teach: game)
T: He is hungry. What are his parents doing? Look at Mr Liu. Is he cooking? Ss : Yes , he is .
T: Is Mrs Liu cooking, too ? Ss: No , she isn’t .
T: She’s washing some vegetables . Teach : vegetables
T: Liu Tao’s parents are cooking dinner in the kitchen .
(show the title, students read together.)
(1). Skimming. Ask the students to watch the cartoon and choose the answers.
Teach the words: meat.
(2). Scanning. Ss scan the text again and judge the sentences if it is true or false.
Teach : meat with potatoes, look for.
Try to imitate Liu Tao’s intonation .
