一、教材简解
本单元主要围绕“季节及气候”这个话题展开,要求学生掌握如何与他人交流对季节的喜好、原因,以及如何询问天气。本节课内容是A板块语篇教学,语篇由Su Yang的爸爸要去纽约工作引起,Su Yang和Ben由此谈论纽约的天气情况,涉及到本单元所有重点句型。
二、目标预设
(一)语言知识目标
1、能听得懂、会说、会读单词:weather, spring, summer, autumn, winter, season, hot, cold ,warm, cool, rainy, sunny, windy, cloudy, snowy;
2、能熟练掌握本单元重点句型:What’s the weather like ...? It’s ... Which season do you like best? I like … Why? Because it’s … I can …,
3、能流畅地表达自己喜欢的季节,并说明其天气特点以及进行的相关活动。
(二)情感态度目标:
1、激发学生学习英语的兴趣与欲望;
2、培养学生主动探究知识和获取信息的能力;
3、激发学生热爱、保护大自然的意识。
三、重点、难点
重点:与对季节的喜好、原因,以及如何询问天气的相关单词、句型和答语。
难点:对重点内容的熟练掌握、运用,以及对语篇的整体感知。
四、设计理念
英语作为一种交际工具,只有在交际活动中才能被有效地掌握。因此小学英语教学的目的不是简单地传授英语知识,更重要的是培养学生用英语交际的能力。在教授一篇对话时,教师应尽量避免将教学的着眼点落在对话中的新词汇和新句式上,而应将重点放在话题所体现的功能上。
五、设计思路
学习英语的价值体现在学生能实实在在的运用英语,能用英语的思维方式去思考英语的问题。基于此,我以课题为中心,为本课创设真实的语言情境,运用任务型教学模式,设计模拟真实的交际活动,让学生在各种任务的完成过程中,不知不觉的掌握内容。
六、教学过程
Step1 Warm up
1. Talk with students freely
T : Hello, boys and girls. I’m new here today. My name is Zhang Huangying. Nice to meet you. Oh, you look so lovely. I want to know you all.
T: Hello! How are you? May I know your name? Nice to meet you.
Do you like ….? What do you like? Can you play well? …
(给自己不熟悉的班级上课,师生之间自由的交流很有必要而且非常重要。由于交流比较自由,内容都是相关学生自身,所用句型都比较简单,有利于营造一种轻松、和谐、民主的课堂氛围。‘Oh, you look so lovely.’这样一句俏皮的话可以让学生感觉到老师的友好、诙谐,以此迅速拉近我和学生之间的距离,使其在接下来的课堂中乐意与我交流。)
2. Now, I know something about you. Let me introduce myself. Look,this is my information card. You can ask me some questions about it. (PPT 展示信息卡,内容在学生问过后显示)

(学生根据老师出示的Information Card提出相关问题,与老师交流,如:What’s your hobby? What’s your favorite colour? 等等,以此增进师生间的交流和了解,最后一个Favourite season也是为本课新授做铺垫,起到导入新课的作用,这样衔接比较自然。)
Step2 Presentation and practice
1.(由学生询问信息卡内容到最后一项时导入)
T: Do you know this word? Follow me.
(Teach the word season, Ss read after T )
(学生对于新老师会有一定的好奇心,他们根据信息卡内容慢慢了解老师,由此自然导入到新内容的学习,边学边用,边用边学,在不知不觉中习得语言知识。)
2.T: How many seasons are there in a year?
S: Four.
T: Right! What are they? Who knows?
(PPT呈现四季的图片,分别教授spring, summer, autumn, winter, Ss read the four words after T .四季分明的图片,给人以美的享受,能很好地吸引学生的注意力,更好地投入到新知的学习。)
3. T: Good! There are four seasons in a year. And my favourite season is autumn. Do you know why? Can you guess?
S: Because …(可用中文回答)
(学生在猜的过程中,会非常积极、主动地思考秋天的特别之处或者秋天能做的事情,倘若能说到一些与本课相关的内容就更好了)
4. T: Good. First of all, I like the weather in autumn.(新授单词weather)
T: The weather in autumn is cool and usually sunny.(理解单词cool,然后PPT展示sunny的天气图标)
T:(PPT分别展示其他天气图标)Look, what’s the weather like in Picture2?
(依次引出其他天气类单词的学习:cloudy, rainy, windy, snowy,其间用What’s the weather like in Picture2/3…?和It’s….进行问答操练)
(通过天气图标和图片,帮助学生记忆天气类单词。不断的复现语言知识,从而把相应的语言知识不断渗透给学生, 为下面的语篇教学做好准备。)
5. T: Boys and girls, what’s the weather like in autumn in Changzhou?
Ss: (之前已经有讲过,PPT回到解说天气那一页,因此学生可以看着PPT一起回答) The weather in autumn is cool and usually sunny.
T:Very good! It’s the first reason which I like autumn best. The most important reason is that autumn is a season for fruit harvest. And I can eat lots of delicious fruit.
(一边说一边用PPT展示与所说内容相关的图片和文字,这样图文并茂的解说更能吸引学生的注意,尤其是大量水果的图片,我想一定能激起学生对秋天的美好记忆和热爱。)
6. T:I like autumn best. How about you? Which season do you like best?
S: I like … best.
T: Why?
S: Because ….
(喊2个学生与自己对话)
T:Now, let’s watch a vedio about seasons. Then I think you’ll answer better. You may write down the useful sentence.

T: Did you get the information you want? Now, discuss with your partner. PPT shows the Model:
A: Which season do you like best?
B: I like … best.
A: Why?
B: Because the weather in … is warm/hot/cool/cold and often rainy/sunny/cloudy/snowy. I can ….

Ss act out
(播放微课视频,视频内容为四季内容的介绍,包括四季的气候、人物活动等,配合与之相关的大量图片资料制作而成。在视频中,提供了很多之后学生能运用的词组、句型等,为他们之后的表述提供了很好的资源。而且将四季的介绍制作成微课播放,对于学生来说比看单一的图片更有意思,声音、文字、图像的结合也更能帮助学生记忆。更重要的是微课是根据本课教学设计自己制作的,更具有针对性,更能突出重点,学生带着刚刚思考过但还未解决的问题来观看微课,就会像海绵吸水一般,主动、积极地从微课中找到自己需要的信息,兴趣也更加浓厚。在观看之前提醒学生记录重要的信息,培养他们自主学习的能力。)
Step3 Listen, read and say
1、Well done. You know I like autumn best. And autumn is the best season in New York. It’s cool and usually sunny. People like to go to farms in the countryside and pick apples.(Teach ‘countryside’,PPT呈现相关单词和图片)
2. T: Su Yang wants to know about the weather in New York. But why does she want to know the weather in New York? Please listen to the tape and find the answers.
S: Because Su Yang’s dad is going to New York next week. He is going to work there for one year.
T: Right. Let read the passage together. PPT呈现引言部分,齐读。
3、T: Now, open your books, read their dialogue and try to fill in the table. You may discuss with your partner.

3. 校对表格填写内容,并由此引出几个重要词组的教学:

(选择自己喜欢的朗读方式自己读课文,比如自己读、和同伴一起读、分角色读等等,这样的处理使得学生可以自由选择适合自己的学习方式,从而提高学习效率。)
5. T:Now, Su Yang knows a lot about the weather in New York. How will she tell her father? Look at the exercise on Page39. Please complete the sentences with the correct words.

Step3 Consolidation and expending
1. Boys and girls, we know different cities have different weather. This time I’ll introduce you a beautiful city Sydney. Take out your exercise paper.
a. T: Before listening. Please read it carefully first.练习内容如下:

3. Ss discuss in pairs and then give a report.

Boys and girls, the four seasons are different, but they’re all beautiful and important. We enjoy them. They’re the best presents from the nature. But …. Look at the pictures. (PPT展示一些环境污染的、大自然遭到破坏的图片)

T:So, to protect the nature, starts from me. Let’s do it together! (整堂课给学生展现的都是美的图片和文字,当这一组图片出现的时候,首先给学生带来的是视觉上的冲击,进而转化为心灵的震撼和对保护大自然的迫切心情。在交给学生语言知识的同时,也教育他们要做一个热爱大自然的人,在情感上得到升华。)
