知识目标:
1..会说会读词汇then and now, office, news, e-book, mobile phone, newspaper, radio, telephone ,anywhere, could及词组make friends, all over the world和do shopping并能运用于语句中。
2.掌握动词过去式的发音及用法,会说…years ago,…could/ could not…Now,…
3.能正确地理解并朗读对话内容,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。
能力目标:
1.培养学生良好的学习习惯和学习方法。
2.通过过去和现在的对比,感受个人的成长和社会的进步。
情感目标:
1.通过学习激发学生对现在科技发达的生活的热爱。
2.通过各种教学手段激发学生们学习英语的兴趣和热情,注重培养他们积极向上、善于交际的优良品质。
 
重难点
教学重点:
1.会说会读以上词汇及词组并能运用于语句中。
2.掌握动词过去式的发音及用法,会说…years ago,…could/ could not…Now,…
3.能正确地理解并朗读对话内容,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。
教学难点:
能正确使用一般过去时和一般现在时表达过去和现在的事情。

课题思想设计说明:
Enjoy some pictures about then and now.
 
 
Step1 Warm up & Lead in
1. T: Nice to see you, boys and girls. I watched a film and went shopping with my family last Saturday. What did you do last weekend?
S: I ...         (Review Unit 3)
2. T:Did you take any photos? Look, I have some photos here. Can you guess who is he/she?    
(Teacher show several photos of the students’.)
S1: Is he/she...?         
T: No./Yes, this was ...______ years ago.
Teach: ______ years ago
(第一次由师说以上句型,接下来由照片上的学生说该句型。)
教师出示书上36页Mike的图片。
T: Who’s the boy?               S:He’s Mike.
T: Yes, this was Mike six years ago. What could he do? Can you guess?          Teach: could
S: He could ...
Step2 Presentation and practice
1.Watch and tick
T:Today, we are going to talk about the changes of Mike’s family. First watch the cartoon-- What are the changes in the text? Then tick them out.
Answer: the way to contact people    the way to get news 
the way to make friends        the way to do shopping     
People are changing.
2. 学习课文第一小节 (生齐读第一节)
T:Now Mike can do many things. What can he do?
Ss: He can...
3. 学习课文第二小节
T: What about Mike’s father? What did he do then and what does he do now?
1)Read the paragraph quickly, and try to find out the communicate tools.
2)Teach: telephone, office, anywhere, mobile phone.
T: They are needed when we want to contact others. So ,which one do you like? And Why?
3) How about Mr Green? What did he use twenty years ago? (match: wrote letters, used the telephone) How about now? (match: writes e-mails, uses the mobile phone)
T: Let’s imagine where he did or does these things. Where did he wrote letters/ use the telephone/ write e-mails/ uses the mobile phone?
4) T: Let’s read this paragraph together. Now, try to describe Mr Brown.
(总结T: Then and now, the way to contact people is changing.
4.学习课文第四小节
T: Look at the pictures, do you remember her? —Mrs Brown. Let’s see what changes have happened on her.
1) Teach: do shopping, make friends, all over the world.
T: What is she doing in the picture?     Ss guess.
T: Are you right? Read it please. So maybe she is doing some shopping or chat with her e-friends on the Internet.
And this is the picture of her twenty years ago. Then she was a schoolgirl. Where did she make friends? And where did she buy things?
S: She made friends at school. She bought things from shops.
Teach: make- made              buy- bought
2) Read the text with your partners.
3) T: Let’s try to fill in the blanks, OK?
(总结:It tells us the way to ______ and the way to _______ are changing now.)
5.学习课文第三小节
1)T: And besides these, the way to get news is changing now.
Teach: news, newspaper, radio, e-book.          
How do you get news, boys and girls?    S:I get news from______. 2)T: How did Mike’s grandpa get news thirty years ago, and how about now?                    Teach: read-read(过去式)
3) Read the text together, and try to retell it.
(总结T: Then and now, the way to get news is changing.)
6.Give a title: Then and now/Changes...
 齐读课题:Then and now
T:Then and now, people are changing.
7.Listen and imitate.(PPT上出示课文并标好朗读符号)
Step 3 Consolidation
1.Write and say (Finish Book P38)
学生完成并回答后,PPT出示相应答案。
2.Work in groups.
T:Now let’s work in four. Each one chooses a part to read. Then use the phrases on the blackboard to make a report about your part.
3.延伸拓展
T: What do you think about their life? You can discuss in groups first.
Ss: Their life is。。。(colourful/cool/modern/happy…)because…
请用一个词语形容先进的高科技给我们生活带来的改变。
 
=fast, easy, happy, effective, convenient.
Is it good or bad? It depends on you. We should be selective and reasonable.
Step 4 Homework
1.Listen, read and try to retell the text.
2.Choose one to finish:
a. Talk about Helen or Mike’s grandma about then and now.
b. Write a short passage about yourself about then and now.
 (At least 6 sentences)
设计意图:课前让学生欣赏一些关于过去和现在的学习、工作、生活方面的富有特色的图片,并配上相应年代的音乐,激发学生们的学习兴趣,为接下来的学习做好铺垫。
 
设计意图:通过猜猜班级同学的照片,激发学生们的兴趣和表达欲望,并顺势教授词组: ______ years ago
 
 
 
设计意图:通过观看动画整体呈现语篇,通过视、听,把握文本大意和相关信息,让学生对文本有初步的理解与感知,出示题目再观看能提高观看效率。
 
 
 
设计意图:让学生带着想象,联系自身实际,充分展开思维,训练语言知识点。
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
设计意图:以上三小节通过学生自读文本,回答问题等方式解析文本,将生词自然地在阅读文本时教授,并在每一小节学完后及时总结,与开头的Watch and tick环节相呼应。
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
设计意图:通过各种朗读符号能帮助学生更加准确地朗读课文。其中特殊动词过去式用红色标注,再一次进行复习巩固;另外有三处the要变音,也用红色标注,帮助学生树立正确发音的意识。
 
 
设计意图:通过小组合作学习,让学生根据板书提示来大致复述课文。能力强的学生可以复述较难的段落,如课文第2、第3小节,能力弱的学生复述课文第1小节。这样兼顾到不同层次的学生,让所有学生都能得到锻炼。
 
设计意图:通过分层作业,兼顾到不同能力的学生。这样既可以提高学生学习的积极性,还能让他们都得到一定程度的提高。
                      
 
教后反思:
课前我营造氛围,激学发生的学习兴趣。课堂伊始通过班级几位学生儿时的照片让大家猜猜说说,通过真实的同学,让学生在真实的情境中思考、学习。通过Watch and tick,让学生初步感知文本,理解大意。然后根据tick环节的五方面内容逐步进行展开,并及时在每小节的学习后进行小结,与之呼应。接下来让学生自己拟题目再引出课题,并准确地模仿读音。在巩固环节我通过小组合作学习让学生复述文本,充分发挥小组合作的作用。整节课我从儿童立场出发,让学生带着想象,联系自身实际,充分展开思维,扎实地训练语言知识点,力求打造真实高效、受孩子喜欢的英语课堂。
